More affordable than the P20 Pro, but similar in quality.
The Huawei P20 is the main staple of all the new P20 range. By now, you’ve probably heard of the comparisons that are being made between the P20 and its expensive sibling, the P20 Pro. No matter how little or big the differences may be, P20 is still worth your hard-earned cash. We will tell you why in just a sec!
Processor, memory and storage
Almost the same to the P20 Pro, it has a 5.8-inch Full View screen with 128GB of internal storage and a Kirin 970 processor. The display you view everything through is a 2244×1080 18.7:9 LCD. In fact, the ratio is great in the form factor with it being easy to hold onto with one hand especially when you need to reach the top of the screen.
Being only 7.65mm thick, it manages to carry a 3,400mAh battery into the phone. If you ask me, that is incredible as it also has a super-charge feature. Imagine going from 0% to 60% of battery life within 30 minutes.
Even with just two lenses as compared with its expensive sibling, it’s pretty impressive on its own. There are 12Mp and 20Mp lenses for colour and monochrome – f/1.8 and f/1.6 respectively.
Based on our general observation, the user interface is still clearly modelled upon the iOS as it is appears to be less cluttered than older versions. In fact, Android Oreo is incredibly slick and smooth. Moral of the story, the P20’s good performance is being improved on with the changes on the user interface. The Interface is relatively intuitive and the menus are clearer.
